  1.                     HP DeskJet Series v3.0

  4. Supporting the DeskJet 500C, DeskJet 500, DeskJet Plus, 
  5. and DeskJet printers.

  7. The driver will fit on one 3.5" High Density floppy disk or 
  8. two 5.25" High Density floppy disks. In the example below, it
  9. is assumed that the floppy drive is A:.
  10.  
  11. a.  Copy V30DSK1A.EXE to the root directory of your hard disk. 
  12.  
  13.         
  14. b.  Decompress the V30DSK1A.EXE according to the following procedure.
  15.  
  16.     C:\V30DSK1A.EXE
  17.  
  18.     This command will automatically decompress the files in V30DSK1A.EXE.
  19.     The files will be stored in the C:\V30\3.5\DISK1A directory.
  20.  
  21.     C:\ERASE V30DSK1A.EXE  (Erase the V30DSK1A.EXE file)

  23. c.  Copy V30DSK1B.EXE to the root directory of your hard disk.

  25. d.  Decompress the V30DSK1B.EXE according to the following procedure.

  27.     C:\V30DSK1B.EXE
  28.  
  29.     This command will automatically decompress the files in V30DSK1B.EXE.
  30.     The files will be stored in the C:\V30\3.5\DISK1B directory.

  32.     C:\ERASE V30DSK1B.EXE  (Erase the V30DSK1B.EXE file)

  35. e.  Copy all the files from the C:\V30\3.5\DISK1A directory and the
  36.     C:\V30\3.5\DISK1B directory to a newly formatted disk #1 using
  37.     following commands.

  39.     C:\XCOPY C:\V30\3.5\DISK1A\*.* /S A:
  40.     C:\XCOPY C:\V30\3.5\DISK1B\*.* A:
  41.  
  42.     Note:  If you are creating 2 - 5.25 inch disks instead of 1 - 3.5 inch
  43.            disks, copy the files in the DISK1B directory to disk #2.

  46. 8.  Verify that the correct files are on your HP DeskJet Series v3.0 floppy.
